Switch Course from Year 2023 to Year 2024

Dear Parents,

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your continued support for HCL Education Centre.

The timetable for 2024 has been finalised and updated on the HCL website (http://www.hcleducation.com.sg/Subjects/ Timetable2021/2024). There are a few announcements to be made in this letter; please take note of the information below.

1. Courses for 2023 will officially terminate on 19th November 2023 (SUN). The new school year will commence on 25th December 2023 (MON).

2. If your child is a currently-enrolled student at HCL in 2023 and wishes to progress to 2024 courses without a change in lesson timings, his/ her place will automatically be reserved for the 2024 class of a similar timing and there is no need to complete any form. This is except for 2023 K2 students, who will need to indicate a timing for their 2024 P1 classes. While most of the 2024 P1 classes will begin within 5 - 15mins of 2023 K2 class timings, a few classes will have completely different timings. Parents of these students will be separately notified of the change.

3. There are new classes available in 2024. Please refer to the timetable on the HCL website (http://www.hcleducation.com.sg/ Subjects/Timetable2021/2024) for a list of these classes. If you wish to switch your child to another class timing in 2024, please complete the related form on the HCL website (http://www.hcleducation.com.sg/ Pages/changing_2024_course) and we will transfer your child to the preferred class, if there are vacancies. Currently-enrolled students will have priority in transferring to new classes. These classes are more likely to have vacancies.

4. The deadline for priority class change applications would be 17th SEP 2023.

5. We will not accept class change applications made by phone call.

6. Teacher assignments to each class will be finalised by the end of December. If your child attends more than one course, you may check if the courses are taught by the same teacher through the teacher code indicated in the timetable.

7. If your child wishes to withdraw from the course, a 4 lesson notice must be given before withdrawal, commencing from the submission of the withdrawal form. This notice excludes periods of HCL holidays when no lessons are conducted. Notice by phone call, messages or other related forms of notice will not be accepted. If proper withdrawal procedures as stated above are not followed, we will not be able to refund the deposit.
